Bonjour,
In case you're new to my blog, I'm Myshaa and I've come back with another fantastic blog: the monkey mind from a teen's perspective! Let's dive in...
Your brain is a cup of coffee. For a bit, it's cold coffee, you're cool and calm. Then suddenly, it's a cup of piping hot coffee till the brim, maybe you just need some you-time. And sometimes you can't figure out if coffee beans are less or milk is more?! When the blend feels off, you're just lost, right? But not anymore, because for now I'm your personal coffee maker. I'll help you prepare unfiltered coffee to avoid mixed thoughts in that coffee cup up there.
Currently, your cup of coffee is made by coffee machines of the surrounding. The quantities of ingredients are added by others: the mugs, each filled with their opinions and ideas...But too much caffeine is not good for health, so you should know when to let the mug pour in and when to say, 'no thanks'.
Hence, let's brew up some magic. As your personal coffee maker, I'm here to fill your cup with clarity and wipe away spills of stress through a few exercises...quickly grab a pen and paper, write the following and let your pen express you on paper:
EXPRESSO YOURSELF
My milk is... (write who or what lightens up your life)
My sugar is... (write who or what adds sweetness to your life)
My extra shot of espresso is... (write who or what gives you instant energy)
My whipped cream is... (write who or what simply makes life better)
Now you know the mains in your life. But life has a way of sometimes adding extra stuff to your cup, doesn't it? Like when someone's trying to stir up drama or spill lukewarm rumours in your good days. And it's not your fault; it's just that those coffee machines - the people - are malfunctioning and spilling negativity all around. They seriously need a service check for their coffee machine, their mind. These malfunctioned mugs go on muddling up your coffee, so let's call them muddles! However not everyone is a muddle, some in your life add more sweetness to your coffee besides sugar, let's call them muffins! Now, let's brew up some clarity, list down the muffins and muddles of your life...like this:
a) MUFFINS: b) MUDDLES:
Then, answer the following questions:
Q1. Are you spending enough time with muffins?
Q2. Are you a muffin to others?
Q3. What are the lessons you learned from the muddles?
Q4. Are muffins more than muddles in your life, or vica versa?
After noting it all down, your cup of coffee will also be your cup of clarity and confidence.
That's all for today, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed filling your coffee cup with positivity. Share with your friends and family and...
Toodles for now!
Very well written. Loved the metaphorical use of coffee, it's ingredients & the muddles-muffins perceptive. Keep rising.
